A lot of exciting things happening right now, big news coming up on Monday! During following weeks there will be articles about our studio and games. Today there's article covering our game in Helsingin Sanomat, which is the largest subscription newspaper in the Nordic countries.
Our CTO has been touring and was previously this week speaker at XR Connects and today he will be at 4C: St. Petersburg talking about topic "Designing Immersive VR Experiences Without Breaking the Fourth Wall". If you are attending to the event, we strongly recommend to go and check it out!
We are on the news! Good News From Finland did write about us in their article "Finnish games score highly in China". Here's some highlights:
"Among the Finnish studios attending the event and wanting to expand in China was 3rd Eye Studios, a team of Finnish professionals on a mission to make VR mainstream."
"Their unique tools, named 3rd Eye Core, together with their unique technology team will allow fast and cost-efficient game design for VR but also other platforms such as mobile and PC. This gives the company a competitive advantage on the Asian market. "

We had great time at Gamescom, Germany among with 355,000 visitors. Great meetings, great time with fellow developers and gamers. Always so much fun to show our game to both experienced VR players and to people who have ever never tried VR before.
Downward Spiral: Prologue has been selected to many game festivals as showcase game. Last week it was playable at Game Happens in Genoa, Italy.
Today you can try out game's co-op mode at Indigo 2017 in Utrecht, Netherlands. Indigo takes place in a former prison, so it's going to be exciting for sure!
"From the Highwaymen to Audioslave, via Cream and Them Crooked Vultures, the concept of a supergroup has been a mainstay of modern music. However, the idea of bringing together a troupe of creative heavyweights is far from a concept confined to the music industry.
Case in point: 3rd Eye Studios represents the meeting point of many of the big hitters in the Finnish games industry. Founded in June 2016 by veterans of Remedy, Bugbear, Moon Studios, RedLynx and Unity, the studio has set out to shake up the world of VR gaming. They aren’t doing this just by releasing games, either. They have much bigger plans, starting out with 3rd Eye Core technology and tools, and the Downward Spiral series."
Nice article about our company. You can read the whole story from here: http://www.goodnewsfinland.com/feature/32604/
Here's good article about us in Gameindustry.biz-webisite: http://cdn.gamer-network.net/2015/gamesindustry/logo/2016.png
"When you're starting a studio the most important thing is definitely to get the right people."
"Indeed, Remedy's reputation is built on competencies that are particularly well suited to VR, where 'immersion' is the ultimate goal: world building, storytelling, the creation of atmosphere, all supported by and sold on immaculate production values. 3rd Eye Studios first project, Downward Spiral, seems a perfect fit for these values; an anthology series inspired by TV shows like Black Mirror and The Twilight Zone, where each episode is a unique and (mostly) self-contained experience, but related to the others in tone and theme."
"We really want to show people what you can do in VR, really showcase the medium.... We want to inspire other developers, but if they want a shortcut they can get our tools and have access to the same features. You'll be able to build better VR with us. If you think about all of the good game companies out there, you need a very strong technology side in order to achieve something great. If you use the same tools as everyone else it's way harder to stand out."
Great videos again. Enjoy these but please keep in mind that these videos contain spoilers and this first one also a lot swearing but apparantely guys did have a lot of fun:
In next video we especially like the comment that game was "the best VR experience I have experienced by far"
And in last video again I very impressed player....was very surprised about the fact that did not get any motion sickness.

Inspired by cult 1970’s science-fiction and devoid from the motion sickness that has plagued other zero-G virtual reality games, Downward Spiral: Prologue is the prologue to the ambitious saga Downward Spiral.

In Downward Spiral: Prologue’s Journey mode, play through the story solo or in Co-op mode with a friend or stranger. Deathmatch, meanwhile, allows up to eight players to experience exhilarating zero gravity gunplay in environments familiar to the story.
